Pierre Sparr
Grande Reserve Riesling
Varietal(s):
Riesling
Country:
France
Region:
Alsace
Type:
Dry White Wine
Why We Carry It:
This is one of the best values we've ever tasted in a dry Riesling. The wine is medium to full-bodied with aromas of white flowers, lime zest, and flinty notes. The mouthfeel is crisp, elegant, and fresh. To find a Riesling with this kind of nuance for under $20 is amazing.
Food/Occasion:
Appellation:
Alsace
This wine is extremely versatile when it comes to pairing with food on your Thanksgiving table. It will stand up to the richest gravy, bring out the nuance in great stuffing (especially one with sausage and apples), and work well with a tart/sweet cranberry sauce.

More Technical Info:
Pierre Sparr’s Riesling is grown from 30-year-old vines rooted in granitic, chalky-clay soil. Harvested by hand, after gentle pressing the must is fermented at low temperature in stainless-steel tanks and malolactic conversion is avoided.
